What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® clear aligners are an orthodontic system and are the modern way to straighten teeth without metal or wire. Invisalign® aligners are removable and virtually invisible, which means you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing; and you can still eat and drink what you want. Also, you can brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth: and there are no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions. Many of our patients had never considered traditional braces but are now happily and comfortably improving their smiles with Invisalign®.

The Invisalign® Process
The Invisalign® process begins with Dr. Hakim taking an impression or mold of your teeth that shows how your teeth are currently misaligned. The impression is scanned into a computer that uses special software to make a series of 3-D models of your teeth. Each model shows how your teeth will need to move in order to become properly aligned. The plastic aligners will be designed based on each of these models so that, when worn in the proper order, they can slowly shift your teeth into their proper positions. Most people will need between 18 and 30 aligners, changed every two weeks or so, to complete treatment.
- You’ll wear each set of Aligners for about two weeks.
- You’ll Remove them only to eat, drink, brush and floss.
- Your teeth will move gradually each week.

Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign:
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Treatment times vary based on the complexity of your case. Many patients complete treatment within 6 to 18 months, though some may achieve their desired results sooner.
Is Invisalign better than traditional braces?
Invisalign offers several advantages, including a discreet appearance, removable aligners, and easier oral hygiene. The best treatment option depends on your specific orthodontic needs and goals.
Can Invisalign fix crooked teeth?
Yes. Invisalign can effectively treat crooked teeth, crowding, spacing issues, overbites, underbites, crossbites, and many other orthodontic concerns.
How many hours per day should I wear Invisalign aligners?
For the best results, Invisalign aligners should be worn for 20 to 22 hours each day. They should only be removed for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, and flossing.
Does Invisalign hurt?
Most patients experience mild pressure or soreness when starting a new set of aligners. This discomfort is usually temporary and indicates that the treatment is working.
Can I eat while wearing Invisalign?
No. You should remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water. This helps prevent damage and staining while keeping your aligners clean.
Will Invisalign affect my speech?
Some patients notice a slight change in speech during the first few days of treatment. Most people adjust quickly and return to speaking normally.
How often will I need to visit the dentist during Invisalign treatment?
Most patients visit the office every 6 to 8 weeks so their progress can be monitored and new aligners can be provided as needed.
Is Invisalign a good option for teenagers?
Yes. Invisalign is an excellent option for many teens and adults who want a more discreet alternative to traditional braces while achieving a straighter smile.
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign varies depending on the complexity of your treatment and the number of aligners needed. During your consultation, we will provide a customized treatment plan and discuss available payment options.
How do I clean my Invisalign aligners?
Aligners should be cleaned daily using a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water or an approved Invisalign cleaning solution. Avoid using hot water, which can warp the plastic.
What happens after Invisalign treatment is complete?
After treatment, most patients wear a retainer to help maintain their new smile and prevent teeth from shifting back into their previous positions.
